Q: Doing quests raises our rep, right? But certain quests give you higher rep than say buying bread, right?
A: It depends.
Some quests have rep. point rewards while others have rep. point deductions. But of course, you can earn/lose reputation points outside of quests through whatever acts that attracts society's eye.
Q: Is it possible to abandon a quest and put it back on the quest board?
A: Yup. Just go back to the Quest Board and put it back up on the bulletin board. Doing so will result in a loss of reputation points since technically you failed the quest.
Q: Would getting beaten up, shot, and stabbed and you're laying in front of a town left there beaten up... would you lose rep points for that?
A: Sure, they'd be left for dead—but it's in front of the town, not in the town. Only travelers would see you, not a general populace. Plus they would people think that you've been attacked by bandits, so they'd been sorry for you, not afraid/mad/intimidated or disliking you. Though you'd still lose reputation points.
Q: What will happen if a character who is interacting with another character suddenly drops out of HetaQuest? Will that character poof off the face of the HetaWorld? And what will happen to the characters interacting with the dropped character?
A: Not exactly "poof" off the face of HetaWorld. There are lots of people in the HetaWorld, but the RP is only specifically following the events of so-and-so characters that are registered. Those who drop suddenly will simply blend into the crowd and the "story" wont be focused onto them anymore.
As for taking care of the interacting between the characters that interacted with the dropped character, the GMs will figure something out through a Character Removal process. We hope that our RPers would be more, -cough- responsible when it comes to things like this. We can nag about it, but we can't force it onto them. So whatever happens happens and we'll find a way around it.

Q: The names for the regions... where exactly did you come up with those? the town names like Piscor and place names like Fascia? Are they translations from a different random language?
A: Yes, actually. o vo
Minibrows (aka. {GM}Miniflip999) did the honors of google-translating up some appropriate names for our regions.
Q: How "modern" is this RP, so to say? In other words, can it be futuristic and can there be bombs and machine guns and cyborgs and hovercrafts and shit?
A: It isn't overly futuristic. There can be weird contraptions. Machine guns and bombs and stuff like that.
I can't really put a date to it (if I could, I would ;;; ), but most of Hetaworld is very rural. Vehicles are reserved for the super rich people, telephones are reserved for the super rich people (there are no mobile phones, though), television sets are reserved for the super rich people, etc. etc. It is every common for Hetalians to travel by horseback, boats, carriages, foot, and stuff like that. I just don't want technology that will advance communication or travel. I don't want plasma guns or cyborgs, either. >u>;
Q: May I assume that wars happen in Hetaworld?
A: Yes, you may.
I was planning to have a past war as part of the plot in Hetaworld, but for the sake of simplicity, I left it out. Things would get WAY too complicated if I included wars, trust me. So if you want to refer to things like that, be extremely vague.
Q: Are there other jails besides the one in Theas in Hetaworld?
A: You see, if HQ maps out every single building in the HetaWorld, all the the boards would be swarmed with unused threads. We only mark the important places. You don't see us making a thread for every bathroom stall in the HetaWorld, right?
So to answer your question, yes, but they'll eventually transfer you to the one in Theas to torture criminals. It's really sucky in Theas, and if they put all the criminals there it'll encourage the public to keep from breaking the law. Great plan, isn't it?

Q: Just wondering, are OOC accounts allowed?
A: Nope. Only IC accounts.
