♠ The Quest System
If you have any questions or concerns, please post below or message a Game Master.
Quests encompass all of the jobs that people hire you to do. It may be as simple as buying a few eggs, making a saddle, or watching after a dog. It may be something as large as bringing back the hide of the huge-ass dragon hoarding the Treasure of the Lost Maiden on the Mountain of Despair (LOL,yeah, idk).
Or maybe staking out the haunted house out by the forest.
Alfred: Oh fuck no.
There will be a Quest Board in every populated region.
Some quests will require you to have a party.
Some quests will require you to have a guild
Some quests will require you to "search" through boards in order to find something.
Some quests will open up new threads when you have discovered a new, "hidden" area.
Some quests may be available only after you complete a prior quest.
♠ Note that some quests may become available through purely NPC interaction.
♠ Quests are based off a star system. Five stars being the easiest and one star being the most difficult.
"Wait, shouldn't it be the other way around, oh great one? Five stars being the hardest and one stars being the easiest?"
No, no. If you want to use restaurant logic, think of it like this: Five star quests are the nicest and the cleanest. Everyone wants to take those because they're so freakin' easy. One star quests are absolutely horrendous. Everything's all icky and violentand you'll probably die.
♠ Five star and four star quests area posted on an open bulletin board. You may grab it and go, but if it is a three star quest or lower and/or it has a requirement, you need to talk with the person manning the front desk at the Quest Boards.
♠ Five-star quests ★★★★★ Five-Star quests are the easiest quests around. If your character has a problem doing these types of quests, something is wrong with them.
Four-star quests ★★★★ There is a very small chance that you will face any difficulty doing these quests. Maybe you will face a tiny verbal quarrel with a person, but overall these are easy to complete as well.
Three-star quests ★★★ This is when it starts to get a bit challenging. You might find yourself frustrated during these quests, and perhaps you'll have a few bumps and bruises here and there when you are finished.
Two-star quests ★★ These quests are difficult. Do not underestimate these quests. You will need to be both mentally and physically skilled in order to complete these.
One-star quests ★ Oh dear gott. You're seriously considering taking up one of these quests? Are you mad?! There is a 99.9% chance of death if you try to attempt these quests on your own and without a plan. Be extremely cautious.
