The Rules

[The Game Master]

Note: I will be adding to this list as we go on.

Just to make sure that you've read the rules, I will post ONE STATEMENT in this wall of text that you must find and address in your Character Sheet application. You'll know what it is when you see it.

If you would like to know why I have a certain rule up, please post below or message me (The Game Master). Unless I am offline, I will answer.


General Rules[/u][/font][/size]
o1. Please no genuinely butthurt immature behavior.
o2. Stay IC (in character). We will notify you if you are not (and please do not take it personally if we do.)
o3. When speaking Out of Character (OOC) in an In Character (IC) zone, please used OOC brackets.
i.e. ( ) {} [ ] < > // // etc.
o4. OOC Accounts are prohibited. IC accounts only. {GM} accounts are counted as IC accounts.
o5. Do not post purely OOC comments in IC areas.
o6. Activity checks will be happening frequently. If you do not post in them when required, we will kick your character from the RP and give a suitable explanation as to why your character vanished from the Hetaworld (if you were active in the RP prior).

If you need to go on a hiatus or if you're going to be gone for a certain amount of time, please post in the Hiatus board so that we don't brand you as inactive.

Character Rules[/font]
o1. If your character dies in the RP, they're seriously dead.
You may take that character up again, but you will a different name and a different life from the deceased character. You will need to go through the Sign-Up process again (and I know how dreadful that is). Thus, I encourage you all to keep all of your initial characters alive.
o2. Be as many characters as you want if you feel that you can keep all of them active. If you have more than one character, I ask that you keep them on separate guilds.
o3. Please create one character account (IC Account) for each accepted character you have.
o4. There is a limit of 2 multiples of characters {i.e. two Americas running around HetaQuest}.
All I ask is that you have a different name, a different class, a somewhat different personality, and a different past from whoever applied for that character prior to your request.
o5. OCs, Canons, and Nyotalia Characters are acceptable. No states, provinces, rivers, imaginary nations, etc. are allowed.
o6. A few comments are acceptable, but do not start conversations on Character Sheet threads.
o7. Do NOT address characters by their country name (unless their name is literally the name of the nation the RPer is taking up).
If Alfred's name is Alfred "Deadeye" Jones, you don't call him "America" or "USA." He wont know who you're talking to and he wont know what you're talking about. Those land masses don't exist in HetaQuest!, because this is an AU (Alternate Universe) RP.
o8. When giving your character a name, you are allowed to give your character one real name and/or one stage name. A stage name is optional.

{i.e. Your character is Prussia.
His name is Gilbert Beilschmidt.
His stage name is 'Sir Awesome'.}

When posting up your Character Sheet, please make sure it is your character's real name that is displayed in the thread title.

o9. Please post your Sign-Up Sheets yourself (under the "Pending Character Sheets" board).

If you are feeling self-conscious, you can message me your sheet and I'll tell you if it's approved or not. When I do approve it, you may post it up.

1o. If your Character Sheet has been placed in the Dead Character Sheets sub-board for a reason other than "{Removed due to rejection.}" or "{Removed due to character death.}", then you are allowed to take up that character once more. Please notify a GM first.

RP Rules[/u][/size][/font]
o1. This is an AU (Alternate Universe) RP!
If you do not know what this concept means, please PM an active GM.
o2. Please write in paragraph form and in past tense.
o3. Please be literate.
o4. NO one liners. Dear god, write some sentences, people.
o5. No god-modding. When you're in a violent situation, please consider your character's physical state, mental state, and how much they've mastered their class in comparison to their opponent.
o6. Use logic. There must be an understandable reason behind everything you do. It doesn't need to be overly complicated. It just needs to be... well, understandable.
o7. Extensive injuries mean extensive treatment. Healing processes will be considerably sped up due to the numerous health potions and magic in the HetaWorld, but expect to be detained in a hospital for a few days in HetaTime if injuries are really that bad.
Rule no.000: Under the "NOPE." category in the Character Sheet set up, please answer it accordingly with the matching meme OR with the meaning of life in equal to or less than five words.
o8. We will not make prices for everything. When having your character purchase an item, please keep the prices reasonable.
o9. Unless you know that it's okay with the other person, do not RP for the other person.

i.e. Bad Example
RPer 1: Alfred grunted, planting his body stomach first onto the ground in order to dodge the bone crushing attack.
RPer 2: Ivan giggled at Alfred's pathetic attempt to avoid his attack. With the hook formed by the curves of Ivan's trusty water pipe, he scooped his blond opponent off the floor, twirled him in the air, kicked him in the face, spat on him, stomped him into the dirt, picked him up again, whirled him up, and sent Alfred blasting off like Team Rocket from Pokemon. Ivan giggled again and was on his way.
RPer 1: (( ... Dude. What the fuck. ))

i.e. Good Example
Rper 1: Alfred grunted, planting his body stomach first onto the ground in order to dodge the bone crushing attack.
Rper 2: Ivan giggled at Alfred's pathetic attempt to avoid his attack. With the hook formed by the curves of Ivan's trusty water pipe, he attempted[/u] a swooping motion in which he would be able to scoop up the young boy and present to him a well deserved beat down.

In the good example, RPer 1 is given a choice. Does s/he want to have Ivan beat him/her character up? Or does s/he want to continue having his/her character try for another round?[/size]

Tips[/u][/size][/font]
o1. I do encourage you to be a bit devious. Or down right evil. Whatever floats you boat. Now I don't want everyone to be looked down upon in society, but there's always a good and a bad, right?
o2. I do encourage you to be creative as to how you obtain your money.
o3. I do encourage you to be creative as to how you approach the quests that you take up.
o4. Please keep NPC interaction to a minimum.
o5. Please take in mind that everything you do has a cause and effect. Sometimes that effect might earn you a loaf of bread. Sometimes that effect might land you jail, in which you and your buddies to need to plan a super cool jail break.
